Guy and Joanne who are our wonderful neighbors and good friends. Guy comes from Hawaii so he knows what this wonderful food is all about and is a great person. Joanne likes the Blues and said she is definitely one of Al's groupies

The street front of this "jewel" in St. Helens, Oregon. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please check out their web page. http://www.haynislandcafe.com and their scrumptous menu...Can't get any better than this....

The main dining room at the Hawaiian Island Cafe also contains the full service bar which serves all 3 Kona beers (Long Board, Firerock and Wheat). Anyone can even order a native Mai Tai to go along with their authentic Luau Platter....which by the way is "ONO" (that means "good" in Hawaiian).

We had such a great time and delicious food we definitely are going back.

Clatsop County Courthouse, St.Helens, Oregon... I thought this was a way cool building.

The Klondike Restaurant & Bar is across the street from the Plantation House and we intend to go here too. They both look like fabulous restaurants and we don't like anything more than a new wonderful restaurant Check out their web page http://www.klondikerestaurant.com It looks like they serve a great meal.

This is a newer Brewery and the reviews are really pretty good....not only for the beer but for the food too.

We just might try this soon.

We drove by this really great B&B NOBHILL RIVERVIEW BED & BREAKFAST in St. Helens, Oregon. Check out their webpage http://www.nobhillbb.com St. Helens is a bedroom community 'outside' Portland, Oregon and a sweet adorable town ~ all re~done and trendy.

We drove up a steep curving road and here was a beautiful house and in looking at it further I believe this is a four-plex.... Gorgeous!!

MAN OF THE DAY!!
THANK YOU JERRE FOR ALL THE HELP YOU GAVE AL.

Al is contemplating the World affairs or waiting for the food to make it around table to him!!

Yup, Jerre is dishing up the Caprese salad, and wearing the T-Shirt he bought on their trip to England.

This dinner was to give him a huge "Thank You" for all the work he did helping Al at his Summertime Blues Concert the first of this month.

These flowers all came from Stella and Jerre's garden... They brought them to us when they arrived for Jerre's Thank You dinner. HOW SWEET are they and aren't they beautiful?

This is our main entree... Wild Salmon with Caper Sauce, which Al alder smoked. Delicious!
1/2 already served from bowl of Parsley Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus.. Al piled both in same serving dish which I told him was not the 'best presentation'...He got an A-!!

This is our 19 year old kitty, Samantha Jane (Sami). She has been with us since 1991 and has traveled everywhere we went. She is a super traveler. No one would believe her age... we just call her our Senior Citizen.... thought I would post here now. For any Boomers who remember us at Quartzsite years ago, she was the cat the escaped from our rig into the dark desert. What a trooper she has been for all these years.

We garbled down our Pulled Pork sandwiches topped with Cole Slaw, a superior Potato Salad and a heap-full of Baked Beans. Wow it really hit the spot all for $6.95. Incredible, every Friday night they serve this fabulous meal...
Al is set up surrounded by his 4 guitars and going strong in his performance.

OLYMPIA, WA. FARMER'S MARKET.
HAD LOTS OF FUN IN THIS GORGEOUS TOWN!!

We sat and listened to the band that was on stage at the Farmer's Market.

I bought some of the asparagus and the Walla Walla onions in groups of three, also on this table.
Fabulous Greens and beautiful veggies... YUM-O!

My very handsome and talented husband Al... He plays the Blues and that's all he plays and performed today at his 2nd Summertime Blues Concert in Ryderwood, Wa. This Friday, the 18th, he will be playing in Winlock, Wa. at "The Club" for their BBQ Bash where they serve a wonderful Pulled Pork sandwich which starts at 7:00 p.m.

This is our town's fabulous and talented Jerre who is not only an incredible musician but also sits in (when needed) to be Al's 'sound man' for his concert which he did today.

Thanks again, Jerre.

Paul plays a great bass and also is an incredible piano player. For those that saw Jerry Bullen's concert a month or so ago Paul played the piano. He also has worked for various high class piano ompanies tuning their pianos.
Al has known Paul for around 20 years when they played music together in Vancouver, WA.

Terry the super Boogie Blues Piano player!
