Happy St. Patrick's Day!St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years.

Now it seems that we celebrate this marvelous time with Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, Carrots and a big pint of GREEN BEER. Al and I are wishing each and everyone of you a marvelous, fun and Happy St. Patrick's Day....

I

This little pipe smoking plant stand Leprechaun was so cute I had to put it on our porch. I don't have a plant to put in this but thought it was awfully cute

This little guy is all dressed up with his green hat for St. Patty's Day...

I don't have many St. Patrick's Day decorations......seems that I had more last year, but can't find them in our attic.

This is my dear 'old' friend, Marilyn... more on our long-term friendship later in this blog. She is so absolutely adorable and is almost 2 years older than I am... She looks about 10 years younger. She and her hubby live north of Seattle and they both are retired.

This is my dear old friend, Marilyn, who I met in 1963 at my first job. She introduced me to my EX-husband a few years later........and I still "love her to pieces", I don't hold that against her... We only get to each other a few times a year and those times are truly cherished. She and I share lots and lots of wonderful memories.

Marilyn is hugging and playing with Cally (she must be missing her adorable Cocker Spaniel 'Jake' that she left at home with her hubby).

Cally is exhausted after 'playing with Marilyn' in the living/dining room, going on a 4-mile walk with Al and our neighbor, Hank and his German Shephard, Daisy. She has now conked out in our family room, under the t.v. trays where ate our dinner with her head on "Bubbles".. her new squeeky toy. Bubbles is a Hippo that she carries throughout the house and is her new best friend.

Last night we had a visit from the the Cowlitz County Fire Department training officer explaining that our town was going to have a "mock" fire drill today.....and we werr not to worry invaded by firemen, fire trucks and hoses.
At least we know that 'they are ready!".

Keep checking our BLOG for pix of Allan's 65th birthday next month... I don't know what he wants to do yet...but he is coming up with some super, fun, exciting and amazing ideas. Keep tuned in.
