Roslyn, Washington was where Northern Exposure the American television series was filmed. It ran on CBS from 1990 to 1995 with a total of 110 episodes. The series was given a pair of consecutive Peabody Awards; in 1991-1992 for the sh0w's "depiction in a comedic and often poetic way of the cultural clash between a transplanted New York doctor adn the townspeople of fictional Cicely, Alaska and its stories of how people of diverse backgrounds and experiences strive to accept their differences and co-exist".
This did bring Roslyn into the limelight of the whole world and could have really changed the town but it seems to have not ruined the quaintness of the town.
It received a total of 57 award nominations during its 5-year run and won 27, including the 1992 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, two additional Primetime Emmy Awardds, four Creative Arts Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes.
I will finish this blog over the next few days, so keep checking in. This so far is posted backward as usual..
Thanks for looking.
