We are headed down the hill in Port
Angeles Wa. where at the bottom tourists
catch the Ferry to Vancouver, British Columbia...

Now these are the Olympic Mountains looking back West. Gorgeous....

Sequim, Wa sits on the east side of the Olmpic Mountains and remains the dryest town in the Pacific NW (or something like that) because the high mountains stop the rain clouds from crossing the mountains and therefore drops the rain in the Hoh Rain Forest (largest amt of rain in Pacific Northwest) and surrounding areas which are on the east side of the Olympic Mountains.

Hood Canal brings various ocean creatures into the Canal and a great place to dive....and a wonderful gourmet bowl of oysters, clams, and various other culinary delights.

Snug Harbor Cafe sits on the banks of Hood Canal... a neighborhood cafe and worth the stop.

I spied Madrona trees, which I absolutely love. Usually they can be found in Southern Oregon and Northern California but was surprised when I found them in Washington State.
