Because of the size of this apple tree, I had Al stand in the street in front of it. These are apples still left on our apple trees and this is only one of lots of apple trees. Many years ago, when Al's family was living in Nebraska his Grand Uncle rode a horse from his home in Nebraska to Washington and was amazed that in November/December there were still apples growing on the trees. He wrote a letter to his family back in Nebraska sharing this 'incredible' news (obviously during these months in Nebraska all they knew were winter wonderlands.... snow) Well, when he got back to Nebraska the whole family up and moved to Washington....Great Grandfather, Great Grandmother. his grandfather and his 7 grand uncles....all because of apples in November...
The bright yellow flower we walked by on our walk to the Lake.. I could not believe this yellow... It was so bright and this is a good picture of how bright this flower was....and in November!!!
