This tradition was so awesome....every night as the Tiki torches were being lit 'someone' would blow on the Conk shell. This was the first night we were there and is the Manager who left the following day to go back to NV where they lived. The managers come in for 4 months then go back to the Mainland and the next managers relieve them. Pretty great 'gig' if you ask me... Anyway, the next night when Al blew the Conk it was pouring down rain, windy, and nasty but the mangers still wanted to blow the Conk but I didn't want to bring out our camera in that stormy weather. Blowing of the Conk Shell really gets one in the "Island Mood".
