I was eventually sent to this wonderful lady. She knew all about myGGGG Grandfather, Milbourn C. Barnes as there still is a land tract in Oswego by the name of Barnes Addition. That is the property that he owned, had divided and now there are lots of homes in "Barnes Addition". This lady's GGGrandson (who is a Sheriff), just had a new home built on his property which use to belong to my GGGG Grandfather, Milbourn C. Barnes. Unfortunately, he had just had the old homestead demolished about 2 weeks before I got there. I did get some pictures of the 'bare' land and also pictures of the 4 corners of
his 'Barnes Addition'. Pretty fun to know that this is where my mother's mother's side of the family lived back in the 1870's and 1880's.
